American Heart Association: Amplifying Impact Through Creative Entertainment
The American Heart Association sought a meaningful way to honor Dr. Michelle—the first Black female AHA representative—while elevating her message, “The Biology of Diversity.” The goal was to educate and inspire donors around the need for improved healthcare access in underprivileged communities.
The challenge: create an experience that was culturally authentic, emotionally resonant, and powerful enough to drive real action.

NATIONAL & LOCAL COVERAGE
The Objective
Highlight Dr. Michelle’s work in a way that honored her legacy and authentically reflected her story, while emphasizing the urgency of addressing health disparities in underserved communities.
The Solution
Our team conducted deep cultural research and discovered Dr. Michelle’s Guyanese heritage—unlocking the creative direction for the event. This insight became the foundation of an experience that connected her personal story, her mission, and the audience’s desire to support meaningful change.
The Creative Concept
We produced an original musical performance inspired by Guyanese culture, featuring:
Steel drum musicians
Dancers and stilt performers
Carnival artists flown in from Guyana and South Africa
The production included full stage direction, choreography, live and pre-recorded music, costume design, and immersive set elements—all crafted to celebrate Dr. Michelle’s heritage while spotlighting her message.
The Results $10 Million Donation
Moved by the performance and its powerful storytelling, Bank of America contributed $10 million to support Dr. Michelle’s work addressing health disparities in underserved communities.
This transformative moment demonstrated the ability of creative entertainment to shift perspectives and inspire major philanthropic action.
The Conclusion
This case study demonstrates the power of creative entertainment to amplify messages, engage audiences, and drive meaningful action. Thoughtful and perfectly aligned stage productions have the ability to highlight important causes and effect positive change in society.
